Glad to know you are going to make it! about jaggery , usually it is availale in block form. I don't know how you get there. Here we get bigger than the sarkkara blocks we get in Kerala. So if you get small pieces, use double amount. It may be approx. one cup , I think. :)

Hi seena am Sakshi your little poetess fan. I must say you have a wonderfully talented daughter. Just love going through her blog.
You have a yummy blog with all my fave malabar dishes..Njandu roast, koonthal, masala egg vada etc are some of ur recipes i have in mind to try out. Irumban puli achar makes me so nostalgic..I used to pick them and eat then and there and in the end would end up with a sour mouth..Guess it would be out of question even to search for it here in USA.
